Title: Cherokee Springs on Tracker
Post by: Jarrodl on June 01, 2004, 08:19:12 AM
I bought a pair of front late 90's cherokee springs for a buck off ebay. Will they fit in the front of my tracker to give me some extra lift? I would like about 2in of lift after I put on my M8000 and heavy bumper.

No, they are way too soft. Look how the springs mount on a cherokee. They go on top of the axle housing, with the housing puxhing them up into the body. The track-kick mounts them inside a control arm which increases leverage on the spring greatly. They may work in the rear if you wind the bottom coil in to match the top for some lift, but for the fronts the rate is too soft.
