alright so I have a 86 sami, with around 230k miles on it. it was my dd until just recently and I have yet to have any serious problems. I moved houses recently so i had to tow it to the new house, i jumped it at the old house she fired right up no problem. put her on the trailer and drove to the new house, the battery was still dead so i rolled her off the trailer and went to jump her. did not start. she spins like the world is ending and i know there is fuel because i can see it being dumped into the carb. it has a two month old coil, wire set, plugs, cap and rotor. i looked at the cap there is a little what appears to be corrosion on the inside so i brushed it off, the dist, is rock solid so im pretty sure its not that. anyone have any ideas? thank you in advanced.

Sounds like what happened to mine! If it is getting fuel & spark, pull a plug & see if they are super wet?
My stock carb would drown the plugs when hitting a bump |removethispart|@ close to idle speeds!
Would start fine after a few hrs. or over night!
The only change was a Weber carb, & it has'nt happened since!
Just my .02!!

I have a webber carb, and i let it sit after the first day, i figured maybe i had flooded it, but the next day it didnt start either.

Timing belt? just a thought.

I was hoping it not to be, but im afraid that it may be, i had it changed out about a month ago so idk, maybe something was screwed up with the timing, but my thought is it was running fine the very same day it died and all i did was trailer it 15 miles ???????
