Title: Samurai front speakers

I ordered 5.25" (factory size) front polk audio speakers....and the screw holes on the speakers are WAY too narrow to reach the mounting points on my samurai.....shouldn't 5.25" speakers mount directly into a 5.25" hole?? I'm so  ??? right now...WTF! haha

There should be a plastic adapter to allow the 5 1/2" speakers to fit.  Is it still on the old speakers?
