Had to disconnect my power steering lines during the removal of my motor. Now it's installed and the power steering hose is leaking from on top of the power steering gearbox.
The crush washer got dinged up, and is threaded onto the banjo bolt. It got dinged up when trying to remove it. So I placed an order on RockAuto.com and they no longer carry the Power Steering Pump Seal kit. This kit is also no longer carried by Autozone.
Anybody know where I can get a kit?

Does anybody know where to buy a copper crush seal kit with various sizes?
I'm going to try and get it off this weekend and sand it down. If not, then I'm going to attempt to sand it down in place without boogering up the threads on the banjo bolt.
Thanks,
Ryan

Im going to the salvage yard tomorrow. They heve 3 trackers there all with power stearing. Ill pull the line off and get the seal if it looks good.

look on the help rack at most auto parts stores drain plug seal / gasket

You can actually anneal & reuse those washers (if it's not too badly dinged) - heat them in a flame until they glow red and then drop them in cold water - kitchen stove works well, as long as the wife is not around.

Fordem's advice regarding annealing copper is "spot-on"! That technique hardens steel/iron, but works splendidly on copper alloys, including brass. Reloaders use it to anneal the work-hardened open end of their fired brass cases, before resizing. I've been using it on oil drain/pan washers for over 30 years.

they can still be ordered from DLR

or check the local wrecking yard. I grab up little PITA items like this all the time.

Thanks for all the info.
No need to go through the trouble Inchaos10, but I really appreciate it!
Ecoast, what is DLR?

It seems you can order kits with an assortment of these washers from Amazon - I was ordering college texts today and needed to get my total up to $25 to qualify for free shipping, so I put one in the order.

i got the copper crush seal from the auto part store. they are not the some size on the out side but the inside was the same. take 1 to the store and match it up. it was napa auto parts ;D

Went back to Auozone, the guy went to the back and had some generic ones in stock. (He mentioned that I would be better off going to home depot for more various sizes) Matched them up as close as we could and took 2 of them home. Then used the dremel tool to open them up a bit. Put some gorilla toque on it, and the leak went away.
Thanks again!
