After replacing tranny with used from salvage yard, and new clutch kit, and a few other issues I was having, I finally took the 1990 tracker 4x4 out for a spin. Shifting is kind of like you don't have a clutch. Doesn't grind, just rough/ sticky. When I hit about 60 to 65mph, 3200rpm, started to make a bearing noise whining sound. pushed in clutch to stop, noise stopped with a thud at about 5mph. Is this an adjustment problem, or is it a tranny problem. I have a 90 day return policy an tranny, and want to figure it out before time is up, or I want to fix problem before messing up something. Any ideas??

hoping to fix this today. If the throw out bearing rides against pressure plate, will that cause the problem?

figured out noise is not coming from tranny. Only does it when cold, stops when you put it in 4x4. It has auto locking hubs. Can the hubs or wheel bearings make a noise, Kinda sounds like a winch pulling on vehicle but louder, then winds down when you slow down a stops with a thud.
