I just discovered this control valve has a hole worn through the aluminum cap caused by the steel clip that holds the assembly. None of the local parts stores can locate it from their suppliers. I tried online to no avail. Photo included.
Any ideas on where to find something like this?
I have it patched right now an it works but would like to replace it. Thanks.

Well, I found a dealer that can order one. $93.42 ouch. Guess I'll use the patched one for a while. At least till June.
Didn't know about Hawk. Ordered a used one for $25.00.

If I had been back on-line earlier I could have told you about Hawk. They are good for just about any odd Suzuki part.

Well, my over fifty syndrome kicked in and I'm just a newbe, so that I forgot about Hawk. I used some stuff NAPA sold me called Q-bond to patch it. Seems to be rock hard just as the advertising says. I'll see how long it lasts before I put the new/used one in.
Also fixed my 4WD switch at the tc with the stuff. It had bare wires right at the top of the unit above the factory resin. It works now too. I'm impressed so far with Q-bond. $$ though.

How does it compare to the old standard JB-Weld?

Maybe faster - 10 seconds Cyanoacrylate activated stuff

That makes it sound more like an adhesive then a putty. Works well though huh?

So far, so good. It is labeled as an adhesive and a filling powder. Mine has two colors of filling powder on for metals one for other stuff.
