Title: Knock on wood
Post by: TonyBalgony on May 21, 2004, 01:27:44 PM
An hour after telling my friend how GOOD my Suzuki runs, it runs no more.
Help me out. I know it could be a # of things but any info would be appreciated.
I started it up and put it in R. It stalls as I let out the clutch.
I start it up again thinking it was me, tried it again and same thing.
The next ime I try to restart it, nothing. It turns over but will not fire.
I cleaned the rotor and cap but that is as far as my mechanical expertice will take me.
I suspect the fuel pump or filter, maybe the coil.
Any suggestions? Where should I start?

Thanks
Tony (stuck at mall) Balgony

Your on the right path.

I'd check for fuel first.  Thats what it sounds like to me.

If you have fuel check for spark. Pull a plug, ground it and turn the motor over.

Come back with an answer and we'll go from there.

P.S.  What do you drive??

Engine ground strap, if it's not there or bad
the Kick grounds the engine through
the clutch cable, and a bad connection
could fry the ignition unit in the distributor.

I think it's called the ignitor by some
makers, I don't know if this has happened
to anyone else, but I fried one on a Toyota
Turdsel  ::) once by unhooking the Bat to
check the alternator :P

Good Luck
