I'm looking at a 96 X90 right now and wondering the real world value of these rigs.
its all stock
2 owner California rig
128K
good overall condition. (normal wear and tear)
17" goofy ass wheels
bright red
5-speed.
it's at a lot so its probably over priced but I like it and want one.
-
you have issues man :P
...
....
.....
they tend to bring a little more than a sidekick for the "limited availibility". I'd price it as a sidekick and add $500 to $1000 for the girlie car body :-* :P
I have heard tales of electrical nightmares with them, so i'd look really really close to the electrical system.
-
Well I think there...
Super duper fabulous!!!!
[/size] :P
-
Why don't you just get a sex change and a cat and be done with it!
-
Maybe you & MX5Man need a "Meet & Greet" ? !!!!
How about the "Lane Brant" parking lot? !!!!
-
Is it 4x4? Jim

nope, just found out its a 2X

I searched everywhere for mine and ended up driving across two states to get it. It was a good condition 98, 4x4 5 speed and loaded. I gave $3600 for it. I never had any electrical issues with it, But be sure to check the T-TOPs... It's almost impossible to replace these and they get surface rust that can rot through the tops leaving you SOL.
/Fun little cars
// to that girlie with a little lift and larger meats
///really ;)

thanks zig,
that's closer too what they want. there asking 4,995 at a 2-bit jippo car lot but cash usually changes there tune quickly. (now I just need some of that elusive cash) ;)

I love vehicles with t-tops. Best of a convertible and a hardtop. If it had a back seat and t-tops I'd be interested in one.

They make me think of Mazda Miata's, only lifted. Now lower one, a 2x, nice rubber and good suspension, turbo motor or transplant, and you'd have a fun urban rig. Where do you put your purse, i mean ah, shoulder bag? ;D

Luggage Racks !!
Check Flea Bay.
But it may "Cramp Your Style" to hide that awesome spoiler!!

When ZW went on Top Of The World Trail at MOAB this X-90 joined us. Looked good with modest lift and tires as big as mine.

She didn't seem to have any trouble on that trail. Later we met them coming out of another trail as we were going in.

I'm glad you said lowered first! :P I was thinking that way but was not going to say it aloud! and purses are soooooo yesterday bent. I perfer my cashmere fanny pack!
and yea of coarse I was thinking about a stupid-fast turbo rig.....Audi power maybe....

IT'S CALLED A SATCHEL!
(hangover)
Jeez guys, you're pretty mean. I always wanted one to trick out. Simply because they're so unique. The problem is, the parts availability is limited.
Check out the pictures on Trail Tough's site of their Trailslayer'ed X90. Doesn't look so girly anymore.
But yes, in stock form, they do look like a little bitch. Doesn't mean they wouldn't look jacked way up.
To answer your question, I don't know. There's one around here for $4,500 at a two-bit used car lot. But like you said, cash really talks at those car lots.

They are head turners for sure. I had more people check that car out more than any other car I have owned. The best on was when I was at the TN Titans training facility dropping off heathers portfolio. When I walked out one of the Titans linemen climbed out of his Escalade and checked it out (this guy was as big as the X-90). When I went out to the parking lot and he was asking me about it, I asked him if he wanted to trade
In South FL it was a big hit around the beach.

Now get the right color paint on one and use it to carry my "man sack" in all day long

my wife is on her second x-90, her first one was red with no a/c paid three thousand for it, the second 96 x-90 is blue or blurple, her friends call it the clown car, she calls it a jelly bean, it had thirty five thousand miles on it when we got it last year and she paid forty two hundred for it, it just turned fifty thousand miles and no problems so far, 4x4 with ac and a tow hitch. it's a Petty neat rig I picked up a 1940 tear drop trailer to tow behind it, that should turn some heads.
-
Thanks for the info guys. Maybe the car lot isn't too far out of line. (5k) I will let it sit a while.

96 4x4 $3350... If you could work a deal, you could get it and ship it to ya cheaper than the 4x2 you were looking at.

thanks for the offer. the color is right too. I actually found about half a dozen around here ranging from 2,995 to 5K and the lot said that's just a "buy here pay here" kind of price, so that number means nothing is cash money. I would have made a move on it but the wifey gets a new car first. (happy wife=happy life). so an XL-7 is next on the list.
