Hey.
When I was driving home today the check engine light came on.
I checked the code, and I got only P2227, which is Barometric Pressure Circuit
Range / Performance.
It says detection condition is Difference between measured barometric
pressure and estimated barometric
pressure based on MAP is more than 25.3
kPa at engine start.
I followed the instructions and cleared the fault. It is not coming back. However it says that the fault is only detected if it is present for 19 seconds or more.
Any ideas ? Should I worry about this?

The 2227 code "Difference between intake manifold pressure and barometric pressure is larger than specification." Barometric pressure is observed by EVAP leak check module.
I have installed a '05 2.7 in my 93 Tracker and ran for a month without the newer vapor recovery canister, which caused the 2227 code. I have not noticed any change is gas mileage, performance or anything else. It has came back twice since then, once it may have been a loose fuel tank cap. It has not cleared on its own, so must need to be reset. I know of another swapped in motor that was running for months with the 2227 code, and may still be.
To me the issue was that if another more critical code came I would not be alerted because I already had the CEL.
