Title: Samurai Parking brake cable
Post by: frozenplum4 on June 10, 2011, 10:40:17 AM
Hello, I put a 3" calmini lift onto my 1986 Samurai. Now the parking brake locks up after you put it on and you have to hit the spring loaded levers by the brakes with a hammer.
Is this common and what can we do to fix it?

The pivot pin in the brake lever or the self adjuster cam maybe seized, or at least mine was. I freed mine with PB Blaster while doing a rear brake job.
