Post by: dtabj2007 on June 11, 2011, 07:56:45 PM
I have a 95 Suzuki Sidekick, 5 spd, lately after driving it for a while when I slow down to stop or turn it dies when I push in the clutch and slow down, any ideas of what to check????

8 or 16 valve engine? I think it would be a 16V, you might just want to
check the idle set screw and see if it's backed off or worn down.

Unless you have an idle control solenoid, then it might be a blockage of
crud or old oil or the step motor isn't working right to maintain idle speed

EGR passages and EGR valve being restriced or clogged will cause excessively low idle and occasional stalling when coming to a stop.
