Title: Will 33"s fit?
Post by: matt91112011 on June 13, 2011, 03:20:17 AM
Hi guys!

I'm new to the forum, I tried searching for the info, but I couldn't find it.

I'm from Australia, I bought a Suzuki Vitara a couple of months ago and I have just installed a Calmini 3" Super Articulation System and a 2" Low Range Offroad body lift on my car. I obviously need bigger tyres and I'm looking at a set of 33"x10.5" Silverstone MT-117 Xtremes but I don't know if they will fit?

Not many Aussies run 33"s on their Vitara's, so I don't have much to go on.

Thanks guys

Matty

With some fender trimming, maybe?  It would be close, but only using 10.5 instead of 12.5 should help with clearances.

What year is your Vitara.  Over here they switched to that name in 99, but I believe they used it from 90-98 in Australia.

Your gearing is going to suffer with 33s

Yeah your right they were called Vitara's in Australia from 1990 onwards. I'm not fussed about gearing. I'm happy with a little trimming. Ur not sure of where r u?

Thanks

Matty.

NW United States myself.  I've seen Vit's run 33" tires stock with just fender trimming so you should be able to make it work with the 3x2 lift.
