So during my idea process I scanned the net for ideas on the front and rear bumper plus an axle support for my 87 Sami. Long story short I wanted to post my completed pictures so that others can get ideas.
4" pipe i had laying around, some diamond plate steel from another old project, 1.5" DOM tubing and a harbor frieght 12-ton bender, lots of sweat. Results:

Nice work, tidy. especially like the rear bumper very stout looking. Links too. Cap the ends of the front bumper and it'll look as finished as the back.

Better yet, do that trick with a removable end cap, and store chain, strap, tools, etc in there ;)
