Who has done a body lift on a 2000 or newer Vitara/tracker? I have heard that there are some major complications with the steering shaft. I want to get the RRO lift kit with OME Springs but have heard that the body lift is not a complete kit (found out by calling Sky MFG). Called Calmini and they said that they have no intention of making one (thought that they were going to make a 3inch). Any help would be great.

The 3 in bd lift for 99+ vitara, GV, and xl-7's is still in the talking stages with Calmini. As of right now I have 6 people on my list to get one. If you would like to be added email me at laubin1|removethispart|@yahoo.com the more people I get the sooner they will make it.

Thanks for the info. Blacknight, I believe that I am your list for the lift. I am confused on that pic is that spacer something that I need to buy/make or is it from the combination of stock parts and new lift parts?
Jag, did you get the coil spacers on yet?
Thanks for the help

I think from the article and picture, it's a spacer fabbed from parts to make the spacer. Do note, that it's just a couple of long bolts with sleeves. The sleeves compress against the rubber disk (can't remember name) and the coupling on the shaft. I don't like that without having the 2 sleeves as one and triangulated to resist twist and deflection.
If you look underneath the steering column, you should see where the shaft is adapted to the steering stub. When I put a body lift on my Bronco, I was given a larger 'adapter'. I think this would be better to extend this point on the steering, rather than anyplace else. There is not much torque, compression, nor tension at this point. Just look at that small bolt holding it on.

Oh, yah. I tried to get these installed up front last Friday and couldn't get the coil to cooperate. Even with an external compressor, it made the coil curve the wrong way. Did you read my comments on the install for both the front and rear spacers on the -7?
