Title: Upgrade shocks for a 3" trakick lift?
Post by: mrhawk on July 02, 2011, 02:59:26 AM
looking for some tips for a better rear shock for my 3" lifted 4door -92

I'm running cheapo nissan standard oil shocks that has had it.

And looking to get someting with a bit better performance without being to stiff.  Looking to spend about $80-100 for the pair.

Any suggestions ??

I would stay away from gas charged shocks. just get good hydraulic ones. I originally used HD gas shocks thinking they were "more gooder :P" and it rode like $hit!!!!!! (real bad)

We use shocks off of 95 grand markee they are 3 1/2 inches longer and will bolt right up ( they are alittle stiffer but good if you haul people in the back

I am done buying cheap shocks. After spending some cash for the race car shocks, that is all I will by now. Worth every penny.

What he said.... I love the bilstein shocks on the Kick and will never go back to cheaper shocks... Expensive (relatively) at first, but when they 'wear out' you recharge them, if they are to soft/hard you rebuild them to your liking.... you can custom tweak them to whatever you prefer...
