Title: what's the difference between1988 and 1988.5 samurai?

I just got an 88 samurai. Not sure if its 88 or 88.5. I just saw a few people saying stuff about them. Is there a difference? And if so what are they and how do I tell. Thanks guys i know it's a newb question.  ;D

if the air vents in the dash are round its pre 88.5 if there square it's 88.5 and newer
also the drive shaft bolt pattern is bigger on 88.5 and newer also 88.5 and newer has single rear brake line and lower 5th gear all i can think of right now  :laugh:

i see, sweet mines 88.5 then cool. thanks! If anyone else knows any other differenes can ya let me know/
