Title: Bellhousing port/hole?
Post by: Texagon on July 10, 2011, 03:01:25 PM
Can someone tell me what this port / hole is for on the bellhousing? Mine seems to be open and uncovered. I saw in the FSM that it's usually covered with some sort of a black plug. Should I try to find a cover for it? It seems to have been missing for possibly years. What is the port for?

1st it is for engine timing, there are timing marks on the flywheel visible thru here.

2nd, yes try to cover it. No need for more "Trail Krudd" getting in there to collect at your through out bearing, etc.
