So anyone within 2-300 miles of Tulsa have a good running 1.6 8V to part with? I've been scouring Craigslist and thinking of possible salvages close by but no luck.
Ooooor someone that is willing to ship one? I'll broaden the search to a 16v also...
Thanks,
C

I live south of Wichita KS. I am getting ready to put a rebuild/massaged motor in my 90 Tin Top Tracker and will have a 1.6L 8V for sale with in the next month. It is currently my daily driver and has 104,000 miles on it but will probably have around 106,000 when I pull it. It doesn't burn oil , has been reliable, I just wanted a little more umph out of my power plant. Let me know if you are interested.

Thanks everyone, I found an 8v on the super cheap to rebuild here local. Just dropped off the block, head and crank yesterday at the machine shop.
Gustavo, you should PM TrickTrax about that motor, it sounds like a great drop in if you are looking to do a 1.6 swap. Yes it will fit, yes you will need to do some modifications to wire harness and engine mounts. Search the 1.6 swap and there is loads of information or PM me and I can direct you to a few links that I have studied up on. Here are the basics...
