So, I was offroading today, and got stuck. When i got stuck i accidentally grinded my reverse gear pretty hard. After it wouldn't stay in gear and kept popping out. I held it in and got out. I got out onto the road and tested it out and everything seemed alright. and reverse didn't pop out so i thought I was in the clear. Stupid as it may sound i went after the obstacle again. got stuck again and when i took it out of first gear it wouldn't go into any other gear. It wont pop into any other gear like at all. So here I am stuck in a pickle. Me nor my Dad has ever taken apart a Transmission. My dad has rebuilt motors and installed a clutch and such. I guess what i am asking is what do you think is wrong and how should i go about fixing it? ???

No one has answered this fellow yet?
Did you ever get it figured out?

Start with the shifter sheet, which is what the stick shifter rides on
in the transmission, they wear and cause this sort of problem

Will it go into gear when the engine is off?
