Im just wondering the advantages/disadvantages of one over the other. All I've heard is that you need backspaced rims to run the hi steer kit so that the tie rod ends clear. Thanks for any input

I think that it all depends on how much stuff you plan on running into on the front end,I have run run the two piece (upper and lower rods) for years and just picked up the one that has both rods above the diff housing,(so will see) yes on the rims with back spacing of 2.5 inch or spacers, your tire wear may be a little worse if you drive allot on the street. so start off with the sky kit upper and see how it goes then up grade if needed. p.s. you need spacers if you go real high up with the rig and or run big shocks.
