Title: I need a v belt 1.6 crank pulley.

I have an 88 samurai with a 1.6 tracker motor. I need a new crank pulley cuz someone atempted to adapt a 1.3 pully to it and didn't do to well. Where can i buy one that will work??? Also I need a water pump pulley. thanks guys :o

Just change over to the multi rib belt pullys, it will be easier
as parts need to be replaced, the Alternator swaps over, I had
to do it several times until the Sidekick style came available

I agree on the ribbed belt changeover.
But if you must run a vbelt....94 and 95 samurais had 5 bolt crank pulleys.

You mean just change to serpentine?

Yes.  Put the 1.6 crank pulley on, the 1.6 alternator on, and a water pump pulley from a 1.6 8V.

I have a GM alt. will the pulley fit it?

I used a pully off a mid 90's s10 alt most auto parts stores have a box of pullys under the counter ( at leastboth stores I worked at didwe gave them away if people needed them) the pully is to wide but the belt runs strait and true

I have a pulley off a 90's alt but it's a 5 groove i think.

That's fine that's how many grooves mine has the belt rides in the middle of the pully on grooves 2 3 4. I will try to post a pic tomorrow

Ya that's the pulley I have. So it has worked no problem? No moving around or rubbing the sides? That's the setup I'm going to run. I already ordered the crank and water pump pulleys. thanks for the pic man

Been running it for a year and a half. The alt I'm running is part number 7294-3. Its a 94amp altanater
