Title: new JS410 owner. clutch question
Post by: pbgbottle on August 02, 2011, 09:00:19 AM
hey guys .just had my buddy's SJ410 given to me . it has been sitting for 5 years .

when i let the clutch out it comes up a bit .then it feels like it gets stuck or
ex. goes over a hump then it will kick up at your foot and cause you to stall it as it jumps forward.

anybody have some ideas .  is something worn in side or put together wrong in the clutch
the cable seems to move freely .  anybody .   the clutch is just not smooth through the full clutch pedal cycle.

That looks like a SJ-413 not a SJ-410.  Is the action smooth if you move the clutch manually?

do you mean from below.    the rig is weird .dated 09/1984    .not sure if it is a crossover year or what
i am new to these rigs.

it has a t-case e-brake,   and i also needed to order wheel cylinders for the SJ410 .to work on this rear axle .

i thought it was a 413 also   but it uses differnt parts here and there .  i don't know what it is .
but someone told me it may be the last year of the 410 mixed with the newer stuff also .  who knows.

anybody else      what years had the t-case e-brake?

thanks

could be the clutch cable or the throw out bearing is dry where it slides on the trans snout, shoot some water in the timing hole. (rubber plug on trans).

Someone must have swapped the front grill out.  But if it has a t-case e-brake then it's probably a 410.
