Title: changing auto tranny to manual tranny

wandering if anyone knew if it was possible to take a 2wheel drive manual trany and install it in to my 4x4 chevy tracker

No, they are different transmissions even if your Tracker was a manual to begin with, it wouldn't work. Find a manual 4x4 tranny and that will work...

thanks i have access to an old 2 wheel drive for parts just hoping to luck out

Couldn't you use a 2wd tranny combined with the sammy t-case?

i duno i was told that i could change out the tail shaft posibly i duno surly theres a way because wouldnt the main part of the tranny be the same in 2wd or 4x4 just difrent tail shafts?
