Title: Shifter stuck

Just finished replacing the motor in my 87 zuk.  During the installation, it appears that the gear shifter got stuck in gear and I am unable to get it unstuck.  Any help to aid in me fixing this situation will be appreciated.   The shifter looks to be real close to the dash, if that rings any bells.

Pull the shifter assembly out, make sure all the shift rail notches are all lined up side to side, put the shifter back in and you should be good to go.
