Any one has info on putting round headlights on a 95 sidekick. something like the samurai
-
I have thought about this too, but it would probably be too silly-looking. Someone should mock up a picture.
But the stock lights are terrible. If I aim them high enough for the low-beams to be usable, then the high-beams don't even hit the road. If I am them low enough for the high-beams to be usable, then the low-beams only show me the closest 50'.

Okay, I made a mock-up. It doesn't account for signal lights, and the headlight size is probably off. Neither of the pictures belong to me, so credit goes to whomever took them.

Try some SilverStar Bulbs, makes a big difference, best
bulbs I have ever used, pricey but worth it

X2 - I have the SilverStars in one Suzuki & Silver Star Ultras in the other, and I'm about to get another set of Ultras for my Pajero.

Will different bulbs improve the too-wide spread between high and low beams? I think this is probably a failure of the 9004 design.
Sylvania's Silverstar & Silverstar Ultra are rated for 1350 lumens and 250 hours of life, and are not recommended for daytime running lights. Sylvania Xtravision is 1700 lumens for 350 hours. Stock bulbs are 1550 lumens for 650 hours. All numbers are for H1 capsules, not 9004.

DRLs are run at a reduced voltage, I don't think there will be any
problems, but the bulb and how it's designed should help with both
the "dead" area between high and low, as well as much improved
viability, the dead area is also a symptom of dim lights, better lighting
will illuminate that spot

5.75" rounds would be much easier to fit than 7" rounds.

i like thats the look i want something like the samuari so if anyone knows of a conversion pleaselet me know

There's no conversion. You'll just have to go wild with fiberglass or something and make a new grill, headlight mounts, etc.

I did a lot of research on the stock 9004 headlights today, and then spent $18.88 for a pair of 9007 Sylvania Xtravision bulbs at Walmart, and modded my headlamps and wiring harness to accept them. It takes about 20 minutes a side once you know what you're doing.
Dramatic improvement in beam pattern and total light output (the old 9004 bulbs were also Xtravisions). It almost entirely fixes the too-wide gap between low and high beams. I still have a little too much light up close on low beams, and will work on tweaking that out tomorrow night.
This doesn't give you round headlights, but it fixes the worst parts of the stock headlamps.
I'll post a how-to on Friday. If you're impatient, Google "9004 to 9007 conversion". The final step that isn't mentioned on most of those pages is to rotate the bulb 60 degrees and swap the high/low wires so you have the 65W filament for low and the 55W filament for high. This fixes the lousy beam pattern you otherwise get with this conversion.
