Post by: Miltpb on August 24, 2011, 10:49:31 AM
I have been looking for mechanic to work on my 88 Samurai JX, can't seem to find anybody. Anybody know of anybody??
My transfer case shifter is floating around, it feels disconnected and I am stuck  in neutral

... also, to get it back into a range... Pull your shifter out and you'll see two notches in two rods. Take a flat blade screw driver and 'shift' them to where you want to be... That way you can move the Samurai around until you get your part... You'll have to do that anyway when you perform the fix.
