Woohoo! I got a line on another 4 door, for a REALLY good deal. It's green, too! It's a 94, 16 valve... lol. 120k miles, and a new tranny.
Needs a *little* TLC, it needs two tires, a new grill, replacement front and rear bumper covers (still got the ones from my truck!), some small interior dash pieces, and a timing belt cover. The cover is cracked.
Woohoo! Might be picking it up tonight, we will see how it goes!
BTW, does anybody know if a timing belt cover from an 8 valve will fit on a 16 valve engine? Got lots of buddies with 8 valves, but no 16 valves.
Should have pics in a couple of days!
;D

The big deal is that she already has one of the most kick ass Sidekicks on the face of the earth....
...and two are better then one.
Can't wait to see it!

I bought a new timing belt cover for 28 bucks.... with the gasket didn't think that was bad.

WATCH OUT NEIGHBORS .......HERE THEY GO AGAIN ::) :P :o ;D MATTY 8)

I just missed a 98 4dr for 1000 bucks (right front damage) Sat. :'(
I have a perfectly good body parts car, I could've fixed it and SASed it. :P

Well... I am fairly dissapointed... because even though we managed to drive it home (all of 2 miles) we are pretty sure it has a blown head gasket. I have also been told that these cars may also crack the head when they have a blown head gasket.
However, we only spent 500 bucks on it, and the body, drivetrain, and running gear are worth that.
This thing has NEVER been off road. All crossmemebers are clean as a whistle, and no dents or scratches in the frame, or exhaust. No rust either.
The body is very straight.
So.... looks like I need to fix the head and get a timing cover before I get it running.
The main goal with it is to keep it as a daily driver, and leave the fat pig in the garage ;) .
;D ;D
We will have some other build up news soon, though, as idaholwb (Kimball) is going to be building up a 4 door for a guy named Randy that we met in Moab. It'll have Sky's axles, OTT gear, ARBs... etc. Another SAS 4 door build up coming soon!

Heather, what's the deal with Sky's Axles???
I didn't know he was doing axles for a Kick.
So, your new DD 4 Door - Well, you DID drive it to your place, right? That means the timing belt didn't blow, causing everything else to crater. The timing belt cover had me thinking "yeah, what REALLY happened is they hosed the belt install, and pounded the valves through the pistons"...

I think she meant axle HOUSING.
I understand that Sky Manufacturing can widen a stock sammy housing for pretty cheap and make widended hybrid front housings for pretty cheap.
Which would be faster, easier and cheaper then the way we did it originally for ours.
