Post by: Safari-Tracker on September 07, 2011, 08:20:39 PM
I plan on a complet rebuild in my 1.6 8V motor and would like to chang out the cam for somthing a little bigger. Who has used the after market cams that are available from the venders on here?

I guess no one makes a good cam.

Check the vendors, Calmini and Hawks, for parts like that.

I have a good cam, but it was custom ground by Engle cams in Santa Monica
and cost me $200 12 years ago

Well that is the question that I cannot answer, they don't
post the specs and they each seem to have their own
different grinds, so you will need to decide what the Trucklet
is going to be doing, street, strip, offroad, then call and ask
what these cams are going to do for the engine.
