It has been interesting to see how the 'partnership' has worked out. Especially now with Suzuki talking to Fiat about diesel motors and building their own. Then again, VW did refuse to share any of their diesel tech...

Yep, I seem to recall VW stating that Suzuki wanted access to their top tier tech bits. VW balked and stated that they were not ready to share any of those components with Suzuki. ???
Then there was the annual report statement which was probably the final nail in the coffin for Suzuki. :o
The final nail for VW was when Suzuki went to Fiat for the diesel engine in the European SX4. Perhaps Fiat will be Suzuki's new partner? I do believe that they designed the SX4 together.

It was never going to benefit Suzuki, VW planned on gutting Suzuki as soon as it was possible.
