Hi guys I am purchasing a Samurai that I'm going to be using mostly on road with some occasional light off road and I'm looking for something a little more substantial than the factory roll bar for peace of mind. What is the opinion of the Petroworks bolt on cage compared to the factory roll bar? I know there are better cages out there but they require welding which I can't do. Is the Petroworks cage worth the extra expense or would I be better off just going with one of the heavier duty systems and finding someone to weld it for me?

Having been around several sami rollovers I will must say the factory roll bar does not look like much but does a very good job. I dont know anyone running the petroworks unit but when it comes to rollcage almost always more is better.

if you filled out your profile so people know where you live, you might actually find someone that would be interested in helping ;)

Agreed. I too have witnessed/seen more than a few rolled Samurais and the rollbar has always held up well.
