Title: New tires from previous owner but...
Post by: VassiliZeitsev on September 16, 2011, 06:56:27 PM
My recently purchased 02 Suzuki GV came with the stock wheels and the previous owner recently put Goodyear Integrity 235/60/16 tires on it (less than 7k miles ago). After reading many many negative reviews of the Integrity tires I was thinking maybe I need to purchase a new set of tires or wheel/tires. Any opinions here?

I was thinking of getting a slightly bigger tire (225/70/16), getting a set of new wheels (Cragar Soft 8's) and keeping existing sized tires (235/60/16), or just waiting it out for awhile. I'm also interested in whether or not to go blackwall or outlined white lettering in whatever I choose.

I'm open to ideas and other suggestions. Thanks in advance.

We had those on our XL-7 when we bought it.  They lasted about 25000 miles and were the WORST tires EVER.  Bad in the rain, snow, heck, even dry pavement. I bought Cooper CS-4's and I'm going to get the same next time, they were much better.

Good to hear from an actual person with experience in a XL-7. Thanks. I really don't like the idea of replacing tires when they are as new as they are. But, it is what it is I guess.

I rode them out, we just don't have money in our budget to buy new tires if they are'nt needed, but I'll tell you what, that was the longest 25000 miles I've ever waited out in my life!!!!!  LOL :)
