Here is a Gas tank skid plate I made a couple of years ago for my 01 tracker. It is made of 1" square tube, old bad rails angle for mount, And 1/8" Diamond plate.

That thing looks pretty heavy duty. Did you remove the factory skid plate before installing?

yes i took the old skid of drilled the hole in the angle and mount them where the old skid was mounted. Then I made the bottom part of the frame put it on blocks so it sat at the right hight pieced it together from there. That is what took the most time because of all the turn. And yes it is heavy duty I jack up the back on the skid when ever I work on the rear.

Sweet! Bed railing is good for tons of uses! I made a bracket for my CB whip out of it.
