How do you mount a modern day stereo in the humungous plastic grey stereo holder that the company has supplied? Is there adapters for it or do i have t make my own. The directions that came with the deck say basically "this is how you mount it in a toyota (its a sony, go figure) and after that bug off." i have heard of people making mounting boxes out of military ammo boxes which i have plenty to spare. Any help would be great.

If you check at your local marine store you can get stereo boxes that are designed to mount under the dash on boats. You can also get water resistant covers to help keep the dust out.
I really like that setup though, especially with the additional power plugs.

If you call Hawk Strictly Suzuki, they can supply you with the factory stereo box and/or plate for mounting your stereo. They are new and realatively inexpensive.
Good luck, Eric

Thanks guys i apreciated the input. i ended up going with a universal stereo holder and bolded it to the pasanger side of the shifter. looks pretty good and since the rig is so small i can still reach it by myself ;D
