Title: roof mounted lights

I have a set of lights that I've mounted on brackets attached to my roof rack.  What I'm wondering about now is how to get the wires inside the vehicle without drilling a bunch of holes in the roof.  Any suggestions?

You can zip tie the wires to the runners of the roof rack and come down and in thru the rear hatch.  Would probably look much cleaner to drill a hole near the lights.

Feed them down through your snorkel ?

when i get home I'll take some pic on how i did mine for you. they are done net and tidy you will have to grind a little bit of the lip that the weather stripping goes around on the rear door. but i put mine under the black channel that's on the roof and came out the end off it right on the rear. there is a little cap that covers the end of it you can pop it of with a flat top screw driver. went through the back door under the weather stripping, under the roof liner and down the side window cover down to the floor and under the carpet. The pics will do all the talking when i post them.

You could pop off an end cap on the rack and drill down through the roof there it is sealed, run wires down the inside of the windshield pillar and silicone the wires where they enter the roof to seal them if at a later date you want to remove them just silicone the hole shut.

Here are the pic. You can fit pretty big wires under the channel i got 2 12gauge wire on the driver side and the passenger side.

I didn't go under the roof liner i just went down under the plastic cover that is around the window and down under the carpet.

like i said i ran to different circuits with two relay under the dash one circuit for my flood light and one circuit for my drive lights. hope this helped.

I got my lights mounted and wired.  I ran the wires up thru the end caps and down into the rain channel then back.  I think it turned out nice.  I wish I'd slotted the bracket a bit more to get more up and down adjustability but I can do it later

There shouldnt be I siliconed the holes in the caps and there is a gasket around the base.  I washed it today and didn't notice any leakage.

I dont have any more pics of the lights yet.  The lights are a set of road warrior lights from Harbor Freight Tools
