Title: October 28th race - Hotel / info
Post by: ebewley on October 09, 2011, 06:17:49 AM
Hey - just wanted to put some info out there. We're going to stay at one of the hotels that are located really close to the OHV area where the racing is. We're checking in on Thursday; then leaving Monday here:

Hampton Inn And Suite
155 Placerville Road
Folsom, CA 95630
916-235-7744

It looks like a newer/fresher area with two or three nice motels.

If you look up on Youtube you can get some video's of the track.  Should be a fun event.  I'll probably be doing something similar, but might bring the camper down instead of an Inn.

I think I will be on a "budget" in my "rv".  Meaning, I will be sleeping i the back of my truck under the toneau cover.  I'f I'm feeling saucy I might even warm my food before eating it.

Should be a great weekend. :)

LOL, Now that's camping, reminds me of the first year I went to Moab
on a $200 budget, fuel and food included, I'm not sure how I did it

Wish I could make it, but the wifes company is being bought out and she is getting fired at the end of November. She has to re-apply for her own dang job. So, I think its best I not spend a bunch of moola.

Understandable, bit of a shame though.  If I had room on my trailer I would offer to haul you down.

Eric,

Do you know what the camping situation is going to be like?  Do we need to pull into the ORV park every day?

Hi Kris - I don't know what the camping is to be like... I have really long lead times for getting information from Wes so it may be better to post up a question on the vorra.net forum about this since we're so close to race day.

It's a bummer you can't make it. I'm very stressed for Robin. I hope she going to be OK.
