If you're doing the work yourself - buy what every you want or can afford - it's your time you're throwing away.

If you're paying someone else to change the clutch, dig deep and get new and buy decent quality, nothing fancy, Exedy or similar - OEM isn't necessary - the labor cost to drop the transmission twice isn't worth the supposed saving - change the pressure plate, throwout & pilot bearings and rear main seal whilst you're in there.

Edit.

You didn't say what vehicle - if it's a cable operated clutch - check the adjustment - you may be able to squeeze a few more miles out that way.

Passenger side of the motor. Just follow the cable around the from the firewall to under the intake.

Good idea about the main seal fordem, what about the flywheel, should it be resurfaced?  Found a new one at Advanced Auto Parts for $90.

Always have the flywheel resurfaced/ground, when you put in a new clutch.
