Title: stock 4dr sidekick spring rate... Does anyone know?
Post by: honkey_2.0 on October 10, 2011, 11:24:22 PM
I am looking for a slight lift for the rear of my 4dr sidekick and I was wondering if xl7 springs would provide the extra inch I am looking for.. also I am thinking about ordering aftermarket springs and I was looking to see if anyone knew what the factory spring rate was so i can get the same as stock.. thanks in advance.

Sorry to break in on this one. But can the coils from a 4 wheel drive 4dr Kicker be used on a 2 wheel drive 4 dr kicker?

Yes, they usually give an inch or so of lift.  Depending on the condition of the springs.

Hey Rhinoman - These are very precise numbers. Did  you measure this or find this info in a book/manual? I've been looking for and have had this type of info in the past but recently I was looking for the numbers and couldn't find them. Anyway, I was just interested in the source so I can save the money vs. going to a speed shop and measuring some stock springs on a tester... :)

Thanks, Eric

I usually go to Low Range Off-Road and get the numbers from the OME lift springs section.  :P

I got them from the Suzuki Specs that they submitted for type approval. PM me an email address and I'll send them too you.

That's sounds good. They must be metric to SAE/Imperial/English conversion artifacts on how they get the .7 of a pound
