Post by: susie on October 14, 2011, 05:47:09 PM
How do you know when your clutch is adjusted right? Do i just do it by the book, or do you guys have a better way of knowing when it is just right? Thanks

By experience.
But if you don't have that.....
The pedal should have some free play (about 1") when it is all the way up.
The clutch should be fully disengaged when the pedal is pushed all the way to the floor.
The clutch should start to grab, when the pedal is a couple of inches off the floor (you can adjust this slightly, depending on your preference).

I just climb under the rig and pull down on the clutch cable with my finger and you should hear a little click where it just touches the throw out bearing, if not loosen it up a little until you can feel it tough it.

do a search for clutch at Ack's FAQ for detailed info.

It's also in the Factory Service Manual (FSM) at Ack's FAQ.

I hope that this helps!
