Title: Do they make a Bull Bar for mine?
Post by: GrimLock on November 06, 2011, 04:26:18 PM
Hey Y'all,

I need some help on my little zuki project.  I have a 2006 XL-7 4x4 that I have done some light mods to, like bolt-on and plastic, and now I am looking for a Bull Bar to compliment my front end.  I want a powder coated black, bull bar, nothing fancy really, but I cannot find much or really anything when doing my online searching.

Can Anyone recommend a MFG, or P/N for a Black Bull Bar that will fit on my 2006 XL-7?  If anyone has one can you let me know what you used?  Is it an aftermarket product? Did it cost an arm and a leg?  Is it a custom job?  Was it a pain in the butt?

Please let me know, I need your help.  Thanks everybody!

Are the 2001-2006 the same as a Grand Vitara?  Check out Altered Ego as see if it works for you.

Thanks, I am not sure if they are the same though.  I checked out alter ego, but did not see anything.

I did find a Westin Safari bar that is supposed to fit a 2005 model, this might fit a 2006, but I am not entirely sure.  Does anybody know if and what the Spec Differences between a 2005 XL7 and an 2006 XL7 are?

The only stuff available to fit stock bumpers will be fairly lightweight light bars, similar to what I have on the front of the sidekick.

I would love to put on custom bumper with a winch, but it's not practical for me right now.  But, what you have is pretty close to what I had in mind for my Zuki!  Can you tell me where you got it from?

Also, why are aftermarket parts so damn hard to find for these things? My XL7 is my wife's first 4x4, and one of the best 4x4's that I have ever had.  Seriously, these things are sooooo underrated!

Thanks,  I did pull that PDF file and I will probably wind up going with the Westin Safari 30-0025, and 30-1305.  But I am still trying for confirmation that it fits.

Why are aftermarket products for this ride so hard to get?  I had the same problem with my roof rack and rack air dam.  Seriously, Suzuki has made who know how many of these XL-7's and even in my town, there are dozens, if not more running around that look like mine.  They are outstanding for road and off-road travel.  The biggest complaint I have is that while mine is maintenance lite it is expensive when I have to put it in the shop for something that is beyond my eperience.
