Alright so my buddy got a smoking deal on an 87 Samurai but it needs a little TLC. The plug that goes into the voltage regulator on the back of the alternator seems to be missing from the harness. I don't know why someone would cut that off but I went over it pretty well and could not find it anywhere. I was curious if you guys knew what colors the wires were going into that plug? All the schematics I found didn't tell me wire colors. I'm hoping I can find the cut wires in the harness and go cut a plug off at a pick n pull yard or something. Any help is greatly appreciated as we can't keep the battery charged without it! Thanks in advance!

good chance if you cut the plug off from the yard you will see where they go and the pretty colors.

There are two wires for that connector, the black w/white stripe is the excitation voltage and the white wire is for the charging lamp on the gauge cluster.
It could be the PO was intending to upgrade to a GM 12Si alternator.

The alternator plug is a big round green plug. Kinda hard to miss.
