Title: steering linkage
Post by: bigfella on May 07, 2004, 09:44:55 AM
I'm about to put a 3" body lift on my escudo and the instructions say I need to fabricate an extension for the steering linkage 2-13/16".
What do you guys think about just using long bolts and washers instead.

NOOOOOOOOOOO .............
Weld it or have it done, this is
a safety issue, do it right.

If you need Ideas I have a pic of mine,
as well as I'm sure there are many others
who have pics of theirs too.

Ditto here also Wild, I managed the suspension lift alright but would like some ideas on the steering linkage as I only have elbow power.

Don't mess around with this get it done right

I welded mine and I think the heat affected the collapsoble piece because it broke on me. When mine broke I was in the Long Beach traffic circle going about 40.  ;D ;D
I don't know how I didn't roll but it was just about the scaryist thing I have experenced in my sidekick yet.
