Are you looking for one for the differential? Calamini makes one similar to mine.
Here is mine;

Here is what Calamini offers:

There are several other styles from various places. Crab style that is an open cage that covers the differntial. There are also half moon cups that can be welded on.
Check out the forum suppliers like Petro Works for the othe types..... ;)

Im really not looking for a diff gard. Im trying to find something that will protect my steering stabilizer/damper .
mainly for stumps ect kind of like the ones you see on a lot of the tacoma's . oh yeah nice rig

Thanks, I don't think I have ever seen a full plate guard under a Sammy. IFS yes, for Vitara. My guess is you will have to fab one up.
-
The larger aftermarket bumpers will probably give you enough protection. If not, they would probably be easy enough to add onto.
Give Zuk's Off Road a call, Myron is great about customizing things and could probably add additional protection if you wanted it.
-
Yes, you are thinking of an IFS skid plate. A Samurai has no need for that. Get a 8" pipe cap, cut it in half and weld it on!
-
Thanks for all of the advice and i think i'm going to try that 8'' cap idea
-
I thought you were wanting steering protection?? The 8" pipe cap cut in half is for the bottom portions of your differentials.
Note: Watch your placement so that you can get to your grease plug.
-
Also, make sure you have a large enough gap in the bottom for mud to get out. Otherwise you fill find it completely full of dirt.
-
I am trying to get steering protection but i just thought the 8'' cap was a good idea.
I will probably just fab up something myself since i really haven't seen anything online
-
Most likely the reason that you don't see the aftermarket folks making anything is because it isn't necessary.
If you want the best steering protection available buy a OTT system and your problem will be solved without a guard or fabrication.
