I picked up a 1.6L 16V engine from a friend over the summer, but I can't seem to find the time to put it in my Samurai, so I figured I'd try to give it a good home. Compression at 150psi on all four cylinders. comes with mounts, P/S pump, and TT tranny adapter plate & bolts, but no harness. Located in Seattle area (eastside)
Asking $700. Prefer not to ship, but can help with local delivery.

Forgot to mention, this comes with a gauge cluster (pre 88.5) with tach, and with the VSS mod done.

What is the "VSS mod"? How many miles are on engine? Thanks

VSS = Variable Speed Sensor (sometimes just called speed sensor). The Samurai speedometer needs this modification to work properly with the 16V.

As far as mileage, I don't know, as I did not pull the engine.
