Laurence,
Great looking Vitara 8). Who did you order the brush guard from? I love the Suzuki skid plate! Did that come with the brush guard?
Welcome to to board!

Most of the extras on my Vitara were designed and made by myself. I work on all sorts of steel including aluminium and stainless steel so I am always trying to invent something new. By brush guard do you mean the bull bar?? Sorry for asking but you use different names for certain items i guess. Am I the only one from sunny Malta here? ;D
-
Yes, that's what I was talking about. Is it an ARB? Did you make the skid plate with the Suzuki 'S' in it?
Zig
-
Yes the bullbar is standard Suzuki item. Its a rubber and plastic item. The sump guard I did myself out of 5mm aluminium plate, bent to shape and then cut the suzuki logo inside plus two squarish ones on the side with a mesh inside them.

Good work!!!

Thanks Zig. My next progect now is a similar one covering the fuel tank. ;)

Looks nice, glad to see you on the board.

Welcome aboard ;D Nice looking rig.

I would really like to give it a small lift say 3" one. Is it possible to have this without altering anything?
-
WOOHOOOO another guy from malta! hey welcome to the club! I am not alone! hehehe
Which part of malta are ya from?
Where did you get that chrome grill from?

(http:// http://images.cardomain.com/member_images/5/web/593000-593999/593105_5.jpg ) NICE RIG ! WELCOME ABOARD.........3" SUSP. OR BODY LIFT ??? WITH ANY LIFT YOU USUALLY HAVE TO ALTER ATLEAST A LITTLE BIT ......MATTY 8)

I will have a look underneath and see whats needed when I find some time. I would like to do the mod myself. What i would like to know is what is the maximum lift without having to remove bumpers or modifying steering/ shocks etc.
Hey Juggster, so glad I have a neighbor here ;) I sent you a private message maybe we can meet someday soon and I will tell you where I got that chrome grill ;D

SO I'D SAY YOUR TALKING BODY LIFT......THE CALMINI 3" KIT COMES WITH BUMPER EXTENSIONS.....AS FOR STEERING YOU HAVE TO ADD A PIECE IN THE SHAFT, ON SOME & THERE IS ONE KIND THAT CAN  BE ADJUSTED I THINK. THE SHOCKS WOULD NOT BE AFFECTED. I THINK ROCKY ROADS 2" BODY LIFT YOU DON'T ADD IN TO STEERING SHAFT...BUT UNSURE WHAT THEY DO FOR BUMPERS.......MATTY  8)

To actually get the body lift does the whole body come off the chassis and then some sort of spacers are inserted? And as per extension for the steering column does did have to be welded?
-
Vitara said "To actually get the body lift does the whole body come off the chassis and then some sort of spacers are inserted? And as per extension for the steering column does did have to be welded?"
Well, kind've. You just unbolt the body and jack it up enough to put the spacers in. ANd for welding some do and some don't But for the 2"inch Bodylift I would think not.
