Title: Casper Wyoming
Post by: jeff1997 on December 18, 2011, 06:33:37 PM
I am traveling with a buddy of mine who is moving to Casper, WY this week. Are there any shops in the area that deal with Suzuki's? I was wanting to drop in and show them my lift kits. Any help would be great. If any of you guys are from the area and need a lift kit I can bring it with me also. We will not be able to go wheeling, he drives a stock Isuzu Rodeo, unless you know where we can borrow or rent a vehicle.

Thanks, Jeff

It's more "sparsely" than you may think. Plus it's been my experience in that region that the mindset of "If it ain't fullsize, it's poop." is pretty prevasive. Finding a shop that stoops to work on Toyota may be as close as you get.

YMMV

Casper is in the MOST POPULOUS COUNTY in Wyoming.  That's why their License plates begin with a 1, then the horse.
Cheyenne (the capitol) is in the second most populous county.  They have 2 horse plates.  So - you can tell how small a county somebody comes from by the number before the horse.  If you see a 17 horse plate, there are probably only a few hundred people in the county.

Two of my sisters used to live in Casper.  Heck, I bought my tow-rig in Casper.  It's a big city, by Wyoming standards.

That's about all I know about Casper, other than the fact that it does have a hospital and an airport...and a big Halliburton presence.

Thanks Bob. I actually knew a little about it but wanted to know if any Suzuki shops were around there. We are leaving in a couple hours so I will find out soon enough. I did not know that about the plates, cool.

My Wyoming Story,
As from some of my other posts, I travel A LOT for my job,
Not that there is a lot for traffic in Wy., I usually travel at night for less traffic, it's cooler out, the pavement's cooler too (Tire Failure). Well I stop at the rest area about 30 something miles east of Rock Springs, It's 3 AM-ish..... The only other vehicle there has New York plates, as I get out of my pick-up, this kid (just out of high school age) come quickly up to me,
WIDE EYED and asks; WHERE IS EVERYBODY?!!!! WE HAVEN'T SEEN ANOTHER VEHICLE FOR HOURS !!!......
I put it that he and his buddies are out on their SENOR TRIP to the Wild West......
I couldn't stop myself;......THEY DIDN'T GET YOU EITHER ?!!!!!..... I SEEN THEM LIGHTS WAY OFF IN THE SKY!!!
GOD I HOPE YOU FUELED UP; AS THERE IS NOWHERE TO GET FUEL UNTIL ROCK SPRINGS !!!
Quick hop'd in my truck and sped off !!
The Devil made me do it.
