I have a 87 with 1.3. Does anyone know if 4 valve 1.6 head will bolt to the 1.3 block?
-
Nope it will not, swap the entire 16V engine.

Yes, it will. It is more common for people to run a 1.3 head on a 1.6 block, but you can swap a 1.6 head onto a 1.3 block. Although, I don't see there being any benefit to running a 1.6 16V head on a 1.3 block, because you will have to use a 1.6 16V intake on it, so that means you will have to do a lot of rewiring, for the 1.6 MPFI (multi port fuel injection) to work. Most people that run a 1.6 head on a 1.3 will use the 1.6 8V head, because the 1.3 intake and exhaust manifolds will bolt right up to it (they won't fit on a 1.6 16V head).

And I Thought that only eight of the sixteen valves would hit the pistons ! just thinking out loud. sorry.

That could be a possibility too.
