The cheapest swap would be just another 8v a 16v wouls require you to change wiring and computer as would a 2.0 or bigger

If your budget is small, and little experience.  Stick with an 8v, it will be easier and faster.  So instead of hunting for parts, and information to finish your project, you can be hunting for trails to run.  And there are some good deal on used 8V's.  There are different emissions control packages, so get get the same type so you don't have to swap pieces.  Take lots of photo's of what you have and where hoses go (photo's are free, and good information).

If you got to have more Power, I would go for the 2.0/2.3 (if I could find a good deal).

Ditto to others..... I was a service writer for a couple years and
the "store brand" was very often a great part. Moog is common
in NAPA branded parts as well as others. But........ there is the
crap shoot factor. Check with NAPA, and ask the counter person
who makes them.
