Title: 2001 Chevrolet Tracker with 2.5L V6

I'm try to help a buddy that has a 01 Chevrolet Tracker with a 2.5L V6.it was running great,the next morning he went to go start it and there was no compression,i was thinking the belt broke or it jumped time but they have a timing chain.any one else had this happend or any idea's.
