Hey am planning on doing a 1.6 swap myself someday...  Just wondering how yours went and if you're happy with it?  Can you notice a big difference?  What kit did you use?  Did you use a 1.6 8v or the 16v?  Thanks and much appriciated!

Its not in the truck yet so I can't really comment on the difference but if you consider its almost a 30% power increase it is bound to be a noticable improvement.  I also ported the intake and have a calmini style header so that should help a bit.

I am using the Trail Tough kit.  Will finish up the trans rebuild this week so I hope to get it all bolted together with the adapter this weekend and dropped back in the truck.  Its the 8V, a little easier to swap I think than the 16V.

It almost looks too purty to put back in the zuk...

What if I part out the 1.3?  Does anyone need parts from it?  I can pull the head, and tear it down to see what kind of shape the crank is in, any interest in pieces of it?  I hate to just dump it at the scrap yard....

Hello, I know you sold lots of this already.  Just wondering if you have the distro and housing.  If not could you give me an idea about what they normally go for.  Thanks

From checking on ebay motors, a rebuilt distributor for the 1.3 goes for anywhere between $160-$250 and up.  Used ones are all over the place from $32 to $80.

I do still have the distributor and housing, how does $45 sound shipped?

The block is still available too, if you are coming to pick it up how is $100 for it and any other items you might find in my parts stash that you might need... exhaust mani's, alt, motor mounts....

If you have a Grayhound bus terminal close by I can ship them via bus fairly cheap.  Last time I checked on shipping it was close to $75.  We might be able to work something out though, and I can check to see how much it would be to ship from my shipping dock here at work, we get a bit of a rate cut.  Shoot me a zip.
