Title: Windshield washer weak stream

87 Samurai.  The pump SOUNDS good, but the stream doesn't even make it to the windshield.  What should I look at first?

A restriction in the line.
A leak in the line.

It could also be a defective pump - disconnect the line from the pump and make sure the pump delivers a strong stream.

The pump is a little electric motor spinning a rubber impeller in a plastic housing, if you allow it to run dry, the impeller burns and even though you can hear the motor running it won't pump water like it should.

New pump from Advance Auto for $15 and all is right.  I blew out the line from the pump to the nozzle with a bicycle pump, and now it works just fine.
